AEPS

Aadhaar Enabled Payment System

AEPS lets a customer use their own bank account with an Aadhaar number and a fingerprint. No card or ATM PIN is needed. It is run by NPCI and works through participating banks.

Cash deposit and fund transfer work only where the customer's bank and your device support them.

What you need

A registered biometric fingerprint device, connected to the phone or computer you use for the panel.

Tell customers before they press the sensor

Check the amount on the screen first.
Take the receipt and look for the debit alert from their bank.
Never share an OTP or a PIN with anyone.
If money is debited but no cash is paid, do not repeat the transaction. Note the reference number and contact the bank and us.

Money transfer

Send money from cash to a bank account. It suits customers who do not use banking apps, such as a family member sending money home.
